Have you ever been told that your swing is too fast or that your tempo is too quick? what does that actually mean; you want me to slow my swing down so I can hit the ball shorter distance? It doesn’t make any sense. Today we’re going to talk about what is Tempo, how can I increase my speed and why are people telling me to slow my swing down?

And after 25 years I can tell you this: one thing that I never tell any of my students to do is to slow the swing down. Why would I want them to slow the swing down and hit the ball shorter distance? It doesn’t make any sense at all, and today I want to tell you why I feel that is, and more importantly, how you can help increase your club head speed by actually maybe increasing your tempo and increasing the rhythm.
Now, here’s the thing: we want to hit the ball as far as we can because it’s fun to do, and helps us shoot better scores. So I want to give you a couple tips to help you increase your club head speed and maybe increase your tempo.
